Incubation days 26 and 27 - Last week… Tom incubated for 5hr23 yesterday and 3hr49 today, Azina did 18hr26 yesterday and will have done 20hr04 today. All went mostly smoothly but an intruding Peregrine landed on the ledge at 2.30pm today, it was there for a few seconds only, Azina rushed off the eggs and saw it off. Incubation days 24 and 25 - both days started early with Tom coming for his first shift at 4.45 and 4.10am. Tom already had a good day yesterday with 4hr37 but he had his best of this season so far today with 6hr18. Today was also the pair's most efficient day with only 1 minute of gaps between shifts (by comparison this was 20 minutes yesterday).I found Azina eating on top of the cooling tower this morning (first shot), check her crop when she came in to incubate (11th shot) ... Incubation Day 19 - Tom incubated 'only' for 3hr19 and Azina will have done 20hr19. Azina caught a Pigeon which she started eating on the ledge, until an intruder turned up, which both birds chased off quickly, Tom was back on the eggs within two minutes. ... See MoreSee Less
